Pets and Time: How Does Your Pet Know What Time It Is?

Introduction

Can your pet tell time?  Is it fascinating to you that your dog knows exactly when his/her walk time is?  For example, they show up at your side with leash in mouth at exactly 4:00PM everyday rain or shine!  How do they know what time it is?

Humans on Earth Keeping Time

Humans on Earth are the only beings that keep time the way we do and stick to schedules, wear watches, use alarm clocks, have a designated “lunch hour” at school or work.   It makes sense that our pets have some sort of knowledge of “time” .

There are many theories, scientific theories, opinions and thoughts on the subject of time.  I decided to ask some domesticated animals how they perceive human “time”.

How Do Our Pets Keep Time?

My understanding from the pets I have spoken with is they understand time in blocks of time not broken down into hours and minutes as humans keep track.  They know its “walk o’clock” , or “park o’clock” or “food o’clock”.  They use observation of human routine, observation of surroundings or nature, smells throughout the day (as animals have exceptional smell we can’t comprehend) and their built in animal intuition to tell time in a manner similar to ours.   They use an internal clock system.

When I leave for a long block of time during the day I like to tell my pets I will return before the sun goes down, or I will be back before the back yard is all shade.  I like to give them a time frame usually with a visual marker.

Full moon, animals all know when there is a full moon

I do the same when I leave on a trip.  I like to give them a time frame they can count or maybe they can see.  For example,  I tell them “I will be back in 2 sun downs and 3 sun ups”. Sun going down and darkness and sun coming up and light is a measurement that works for my fur family.   Other examples would be returning before the full moon or new moon.  Animals just KNOW when full moon is, they FEEL it!  Even when pets stay at a “boarding kennel” when their humans are out of town they still know when its day and night.

What Markers of Time are in Your Life?

There are plenty of markers of time in your household, take a few minutes and think about your pet and time.   Here are a few examples:

·      Delivery Truck/Van usually on a routine route

·      Birds chirping in AM or PM

·      A fountain turning on or off

·      Street lights turning on or off

·      School bus picking up or dropping off kids

·      Public transportation usually on a schedule

·      Sun or shade in certain parts of the house or yard

What examples of time markers in your pets life can you find?

 Time On The Other Side

There is only “time” on the earth plane, when a pet or human crosses over to the other side/Heaven, there are no time constraints.  They are not waiting for you impatiently for 50+ years!  They are doing “beings of light things” (important work) happy and busy. I believe that they get some sort of Angelic signal to get them ready and in place to greet us when its “our time” to show up on the other side!

Conclusion

Our pets have knowledge of time, but don’t need a watch or clock.  They have a “tapped into nature and their surroundings” type of internal clock.  I am pretty sure most everyone talks to their beloved pet(s); start giving them a time marker they may recognize when you leave the house without them (but be sure not to be late upon return when you first start this process.)  See what changes come about!
